WHAT IS A BIENNIAL UPDATE?
If your regulated entity changes its legal name, address, cargo, number of trucks or any other information about your USDOT account, then you must update your USDOT record with FMCSA within the required time limits.
The FMSCA requires that all entities under its jurisdiction update their information every two years. In addition, our well-trained staff here at DOT Filing helps you handle this with ease.
IF YOU CANNOT COMPLETE YOUR BIENNIAL UPDATE
If you do not meet the requirements when updating your USDOT number, your account will be deactivated and you can be fined of up to $ 1,000 per day (but not more than $ 10,000 in total)
