HOW DO I KNOW IF THE MATERIAL I AM TRANSPORTING IS A HAZARDOUS MATERIAL(HM)?

There are many resources for determining whether material is an HM. One indication that the material may be hazardous would be markings or labels applied on the product packaging. Hazard warning labels are usually diamond-shaped and come in a variety of colors. Additional information may also be provided by a chemical manufacturer or distributor on a Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

What If I Fail to Comply with Hazmat Regulations?

If you do not meet the requirements or fail to comply with domestic and international Hazmat Transport Regulations, then you run the risk of being rejected shipments. You may be fined up to $78,376 per day/per violation, and blacklisting carriers. You must ensure that you have a legible California Hazmat license and can peacefully manage your hazmat shipping operations.
